Mobilink has been investing heavily into expanding its services to include wireless broadband. They will pose a major challenge for existing WiMAX providers and are likely to dominate the scene once their service has launched.
Since they are already well entrenched with their huge countrywide mobile network, they will have a significant advantage over other carriers.
The service was officially launched on July 1st, 2008 by the name of Mobilink Infinity. It is currently available in Karachi and should be reaching other major cities soon.
